Developing Fundraising Volunteers

The overall aim of this course is to help you to develop a program that successfully integrates volunteers into your organization to maximum effect.

All organizations require resources. Through fundraising, nonprofit organizations acquire resources and transform them into goods and community services. The three critical components of fundraising are:
the worthiness of your cause;
your volunteer leadership support;
the sources of revenue the organization can attract.

Depending on your volunteer leadership and support, fundraising ventures can either soar or crash. New, innovative and sophisticated fundraising techniques attract both money and volunteers.Our society is changing. Understanding how these changes directly influence volunteering in Canada will help you to integrate volunteers into your fundraising campaigns.

This course is not offered in Winter 2005, we hope to offer it in Fall 2005.

The course advisor is Boyd McBride, National Director with SOS Children's Villages Canada, an international charity for children. You too can volunteer with SOS Children's Villages. Consider the option to sponsor a child today
